The Canadian government website still requires cruise passengers to provide proof of vaccination before boarding, but Alghabra has confirmed that this will not be the case in the future.
Canada has eliminated the need for vaccinated travelers to get tested before their arrival. It also lifted pre-arrival testing for unvaccinated or partially vaccinated children between 5 and 11 years old in April 2018.
Cruise passengers must get their flu shot before boarding, or face life-threatening consequences. Although this goes into effect in 2020 for American travelers, the Canadians have decided on a two year policy for now.
