NEW DELHI: Tech giant Google is expected to launch the next generation Pixel smartphone on September 30. The company will launch the Pixel 5 on September 30 at 11am PT (11:30pm IST). Along with the smartphone, the company will also launch a 5G variant of Pixel 4a, new Chromecast and a new smart speaker.
Now just days ahead of the launch price and specifications of the Google Pixel 5 surfaced online. As reported by WinFuture, the Google Pixel 5 is expected to be priced at EUR 629 (roughly Rs. 54,000) in Europe. The smartphone is said to pack 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The smartphone is expected to come in Black and Green colour options.
Google Pixel 5 expected specifications
The Google Pixel 5 is said to run Android 11 operating system out-of-the box. The device is expected to sport a 6-inch OLED display with 1080×2340 pixel resolution. The display is said to be protected with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass on top and may offer 90Hz refresh rate. It is also said that the screen might feature HDR support.
The Google Pixel 5 is expected to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor paired with 8GB of RAM. The smartphone is expected to come with 128GB of internal storage.
Talking about the camera, the Google Pixel 5 is expected to feature a dual rear camera setup which might incorporate a 12.2MP primary sensor with optical image stabilisation and f/1.7 aperture and a 16MP wide angle lens camera with f/2.2 aperture. For selfies the smartphone is expected to offer an 8MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture. The smartphone is expected to be backed by a 4,080 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. The smartphone is also said to come with wireless charging support.
It is also said that the Google Pixel 5 might come with IP68 rating which will make the device water and dust resistant.
